Floor Spring

A floor spring is a type of door closer mechanism that is installed in the floor, typically at the bottom of a door. It allows the door to swing smoothly and automatically close, without the need for a traditional overhead door closer or hinge.

The floor spring consists of a metal box that is installed in the floor, containing a hydraulic mechanism that controls the speed and force of the door's closing. The door is attached to a pivoting arm or spindle that is connected to the floor spring. When the door is opened, the arm rotates around the spindle and the hydraulic mechanism inside the floor spring is activated, which allows the door to swing freely. When the door is released, the hydraulic mechanism slows down the door's motion and gently closes it.

Floor springs are commonly used in commercial buildings, such as offices, hotels, and retail stores, where automatic door operation is desired for convenience and accessibility. They can also be used in residential settings for high-end doors or for doors that require a heavy-duty closure mechanism.
