Panic Hardware
Also known as panic bars or exit devices, are devices that are installed on doors in public buildings and other structures to provide easy and safe exit in case of an emergency.
Panic hardware typically consists of a horizontal bar that runs across the inside of the door and is connected to a latch or locking mechanism. When pressure is applied to the bar, the latch or locking mechanism is released, allowing the door to swing open easily.
The purpose of panic hardware is to provide a quick and easy means of exit from a building in case of an emergency, such as a fire or other hazard. It is designed to allow a large number of people to exit the building quickly and safely, without the need for individual door handles or keys. It is also commonly used in commercial and industrial buildings, schools, hospitals, and other institutions, particularly in public buildings and spaces where large numbers of people are present.
