The 2mm Intumescent Pack for Mortice Dead Locks is a fire protection kit that lines the mortice for a dead lock in a fire door. Its graphite-based material offers high expansion and insulation, protecting the rebated lock and helping to stop heat travelling through the cut-out.
Use it with the corresponding mortice dead lock for fire door compliance. When it reaches 180 degrees the material expands to many times its original volume, giving structure and integrity as it fills rebates and voids. The 2mm thickness suits FD30 and FD60 doors.
