The 2mm Intumescent Pack for Bathroom Locks is a fire protection kit that lines the mortice for a bathroom lock in a fire door. Made from a graphite-based material with high expansion and insulation, it protects the rebated lock and helps prevent heat passing through the cut-out.
Use it with the corresponding bathroom lock for fire door compliance. At its activation temperature of 180 degrees the material expands to many times its original volume, filling rebates and voids. The 2mm thickness suits FD30 and FD60 doors and is 3rd party accredited for hardware protection.
