The bolt through tubular latch with a 76mm case and 57mm backset is a CE Certifire, fire rated latch for internal doors, including fire doors. The longer backset gives more clearance between the handle and the door stop, and the latch holds the door closed while lever handles operate it from either side.
This is a medium-duty latch, and on a fire door it must be fitted with intumescents to be compliant. It has a mild steel body with a zinc bolt, a 58 x 27mm faceplate and a dust box, and is supplied with matching wood screws.

About the Satin Chrome finish
Finished in Satin Chrome which has a moderately contemporary look and feel that takes its origins from the Bauhaus style movement. The subtle lustre is edgy and alluring but never grandiose. It is considered to be a highly amenable finish and is often used in commercial applications. For accompanying products, we recommend using either Satin Chrome, Satin Nickel or Satin Stainless Steel.
