The Avon night-vent locking casement fastener for steel windows secures steel casements closed or slightly open for ventilation. It has an offset backplate to fit the slim steel frame, and the four-sided Avon design is shaped by hand with a series of hammer blows.
The fastener locks in the closed position and the night-vent position, operated by grub screw. A matching push plate keep suits both left and right hand windows. Supplied with matching M5 machine screws and designed to match the Avon range.

About the Black finish

The Black products have a distinctive, subtle sheen; hand forged from mild steel this finish are extremely low maintenance, offering excellent corrosion resistance and durability as a result of being powder coated, then baked in a high temperature oven during the final stages of manufacturing. An extremely low maintenance finish, ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms, or externally where damp conditions are expected.

An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using the ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. For any minor scratches that may occur with general wear and tear of your product, we offer a durable ‘Black Touch Up Paint’ (73101) if required.
