The Burlington Brighton sash window fastener Pattern 2 is a traditional fastener for timber sliding sash windows. It fixes across the meeting rails where the two sashes overlap, holding them together when closed. It suits period houses, restoration work and new sash windows where the window hardware is matched to Burlington door furniture.
The fastener comes in two parts: the swivelling arm fixes to one meeting rail and the keep to the other, and turning the arm into the keep draws the sashes together. Pattern 2 is one of two Burlington Brighton styles; Pattern 1 offers an alternative shape for the same job.
