The Valley Forge spare cranked pins for casement stays are replacement pins for traditional casement stays. The pins fix to the window frame and the stay drops over them to hold the casement open or closed, and spares are useful when a pin has been lost or damaged or a stay is being moved.
The cranked shape raises the pin away from the frame so the stay sits clear of the window. They are screw fixed to the frame and are intended to suit Valley Forge style casement stays.
