From The Anvil Mortice Security Window Bolt - 16mm Backset - Black

The Mortice Security Window Bolt with a 16mm backset is designed to fit into the edge of a window casement to improve security. Its compact body suits the narrower sections of timber windows, and once fitted it sits neatly within the casement and frame.

The bolt must be morticed in and is operated with a security star key, sold separately, which turns to throw and release the bolt mechanism. Standard and oval receiver plates are listed below. Matching SS wood screws are supplied.

The Black products have a distinctive, subtle sheen; hand forged from mild steel this finish are extremely low maintenance, offering excellent corrosion resistance and durability as a result of being powder coated, then baked in a high temperature oven during the final stages of manufacturing. An extremely low maintenance finish, ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms, or externally where damp conditions are expected.

An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using the ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. For any minor scratches that may occur with general wear and tear of your product, we offer a durable ‘Black Touch Up Paint’ (73101) if required.
