The Brompton Brighton sash window fastener, narrow square version, is a classic fastener for securing sliding sash windows. Its narrow fixing plate makes it well suited to uPVC sliding sash windows, and the curved edges on the keep and fastener keep the outline soft.

The keep fits to the bottom rail of the sash and the fastener secures into it when the window is closed. Designed to match the Brompton door, window and cabinet furniture. Sold singly with matching stainless steel wood screws.

About the Polished Brass finish

Polished Brass is a simplistic, classic finish most synonymous with use in traditional period properties and interiors, yet works well paired with light colours and subtle textural details to achieve a luxurious, more modern aesthetic. The Polished Brass products are manufactured from solid, unlacquered brass. Bright and reflective when polished, although as an unlacquered, 'living' finish it will continue to oxidise, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes too dark or tarnished, it can be polished to restore the brighter finish.

Care and maintenance

This finish will continue to oxidise and age as it is an unlacquered finish, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes tarnished or too dark, it can be restored to brighten the finish. We recommend polishing with a dry cloth or alternatively using the ‘Brasso’ (73102), which assists with the cleaning of solid brass products. An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using the ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.
