The Square Concealed Keyhole Escutcheon decorates the keyhole of a locking door with a square cover that conceals the opening. It brings a contemporary edge to a traditional design and measures 53mm x 53mm with an 8mm thickness, suiting internal and front doors fitted with a mortice lock.

Because it uses a standard keyhole, the escutcheon can be fitted with a wide range of locks. It is designed to complement the mortice knob and lever on rose designs in the collection and is supplied with matching stainless steel wood screws.

Hand forged from a base of solid brass, Burnished Brass is an excellent example of how the unique manufacturing techniques add further intrigue to the natural charm of the base material. Each product undergoes an accelerated ageing process, creating a dark patina before being placed into barrelling machines, giving them the beautiful burnished finish. During the final stages of manufacturing, a high quality, clear matt lacquer is applied for protection.

Care and maintenance

We advise against the use of chemicals, and other harsh cleaning products on this finish as it may affect the lacquer. Products should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and wiped over with a wax-based furniture polish like the 'Maintenance Wax' (33002) to offer some protection. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using the ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.
