From The Anvil Square Ended Sash Window Pulley - 75kg - Polished Brass

The Square Ended Sash Window Pulley is a box sash pulley for heavy windows, rated to a maximum sash weight of 75kg per pair. It is fitted into the frame of a box sash window, where the cord runs over the wheel to the sash weights, and the square ends suit square cut pulley mortices.

Ball bearings give smooth, durable movement. The 44mm (1¾”) curved wheel takes cord up to Ø8mm, and the pulley measures 119mm x 26mm with a 38mm depth. Matching stainless steel wood screws are supplied, and it matches the other sash furniture in the collection.

About the Polished Brass finish

Polished Brass is a simplistic, classic finish most synonymous with use in traditional period properties and interiors, yet works well paired with light colours and subtle textural details to achieve a luxurious, more modern aesthetic. The Polished Brass products are manufactured from solid, unlacquered brass. Bright and reflective when polished, although as an unlacquered, 'living' finish it will continue to oxidise, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes too dark or tarnished, it can be polished to restore the brighter finish.

Care and maintenance

This finish will continue to oxidise and age as it is an unlacquered finish, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes tarnished or too dark, it can be restored to brighten the finish. We recommend polishing with a dry cloth or alternatively using the ‘Brasso’ (73102), which assists with the cleaning of solid brass products. An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using the ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.
