From The Anvil Universal Door Bolt - 152mm (6") - Burnished Brass

The Universal door bolt is a 152mm (6") multi-purpose bolt for doors, windows and other uses around the home. A choice of keeps is supplied with the bolt, so it can be fitted to suit the frame, and it works both horizontally and vertically thanks to its strong spring mechanism.

The 150mm x 40mm fixing plate carries a bolt with a 20mm throw. A receiver plate, receiver bridge and angled keep are included for different fitting positions. Supplied with matching stainless steel wood screws.

Hand forged from a base of solid brass, Burnished Brass is an excellent example of how the unique manufacturing techniques add further intrigue to the natural charm of the base material. Each product undergoes an accelerated ageing process, creating a dark patina before being placed into barrelling machines, giving them the beautiful burnished finish. During the final stages of manufacturing, a high quality, clear matt lacquer is applied for protection.

Care and maintenance

We advise against the use of chemicals, and other harsh cleaning products on this finish as it may affect the lacquer. Products should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and wiped over with a wax-based furniture polish like the 'Maintenance Wax' (33002) to offer some protection. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using the ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.
