Nightlatches, often referred to as deadlatches, rim locks, or Yale locks, are fit to the interior side of your doors rather than inside the door edge. The key locking cylinder will be exposed on the exterior to allow external access with a key. Nightlatches are easy to use and lock automatically once the door is shut from the outside to provide constant security. Nightlatches are usually paired with mortice locks or dead locks for maximised safety and peace of mind.
