Foxcote Foundries Shield Escutcheon with Cover - Standard Keyhole - 51mm (2") - Black Antique

The Foxcote Foundries shield escutcheon with cover is a 51mm (2") keyhole escutcheon with a standard keyhole, a shield shape and a keyhole cover. It is used to frame the keyhole of a mortice lock on internal and external doors, and suits cottages, farmhouses, barn conversions and period properties where traditional ironmongery is wanted.

The escutcheon is face-fixed to the door over the keyhole of a standard key mortice lock, one per side as required. The swing cover closes over the keyhole when the key is not in use, helping to reduce draughts. It is designed to sit alongside the levers, knobs and pull handles in the same range.
