The Intumescent Hinge Pad 75 x 18 x 0.8mm is a graphite-based pad that sits behind a smaller hinge in its rebate on a fire door. In a fire, once the material reaches 180 degrees it swells to many times its original volume, sealing the gap around the hinge against heat, fire and smoke.
Fit it with corresponding hinges, locks and latches to help achieve fire door compliance. The pad is rated FD60, blocking fire and smoke for a minimum of 60 minutes, and its multi-directional expansion gives structure and integrity to the rebate. It is 3rd party accredited for hardware protection.
